Veetickets - Tickets Redemption FAQ

This document answers frequently asked questions about Veetickets' purchasing, ticket
delivery, redemption, and event access process. It serves as a guide for both event attendees and staff.

Veetickets is a digital ticketing platform that enables users to buy, receive, and redeem event tickets securely.
Tickets can be purchased online through the Veetickets website or offline via shortcode.

You can purchase tickets either through the Veetickets website (www.veetickets.com) or by dialing the shortcode (*714*xxx#).
• The website allows online payments via card, mobile money, or POS.
• Shortcode purchases are made directly through mobile money.

After completing payment, you'll receive a confirmation message based on your purchase method:
• Website Purchase: You'll get an email containing your ticket with a unique QR code.
• Shortcode Purchase: You'll get an SMS with a ticket code and a smartphone link (TinyURL) that opens a ticket page with your QR code.

You can view your ticket in one of the following ways:
• From the email confirmation.
• From the SMS (click the TinyURL link for your mobile ticket page).
Each ticket has a static QR code that does not change unless the ticket is transferred or updated.

Yes. Since QR codes do not change unless the ticket is transferred or updated, taking a screenshot is encouraged. Screenshots make scanning easier, especially if there's poor internet connection at the event venue.

Veetickets provides several ways to display your ticket:
1. Email Ticket View: Shown in your inbox with a QR code and event details.
2. PDF Ticket View: Printable version of your e-ticket.
3. Smartphone Ticket Page: Mobile-friendly page accessed through TinyURL.
Each view is securely linked to your unique ticket code in the Veetickets system.

To redeem your ticket:
1. Arrive at the event venue and go to the designated gate for your ticket category.
2. Present your QR code (on your phone, or screenshot).
3. Staff will scan your ticket using the Veetickets Verification App.
4. Once validated, you'll be given a wristband as a proof of validation.

If your QR code doesn't scan:
• Increase your phone brightness and try again.
• Use the original email or ticket link instead of a photo.
• Visit the Help Desk at the event for assistance.
• Provide your name, phone number , email address or ticket code to verify your purchase.

Yes, Veetickets allows transfers. Use the Veetickets transfer feature or follow the event organizer's instructions.
When transferred, a new QR code is automatically generated for the recipient, and your original QR
code becomes invalid.

If you lose your confirmation, there are two easy ways to retrieve your ticket:
• Website Purchases:
Visit www.veetickets.com, go to the “My Tickets” tab, and enter the email address
used for your purchase. You'll receive a link to access or resend your ticket.
• Shortcode Purchases: Dial the shortcode again (*714*xxx#), select Option 2 - Retrieve Tickets, and follow the
prompts to get your ticket resent to your phone via SMS or link. You can also contact Veetickets Support through the official support line for quick assistance.

Refunds are managed according to the event organiser's policy.
If an event is cancelled or postponed, Veetickets will process refunds or replacement tickets as
authorised. Handling or service fees are generally non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

Some events require have age limits (e.g., 18+). Always check the event listing for any entry
restrictions before attending.

To ensure a smooth check-in:
• Save or screenshot your ticket beforehand.
• Keep your phone charged and screen brightness high.
• Verify event details on your ticket.
• Do not share your QR code publicly.

Event staff use Veetickets Verification App to validate entries:
• They log in, select the correct event, and scan each guest's QR code.
• Tickets marked “Valid” grant access, while duplicates or invalid ones are referred to the
Help Desk for further review.
• Staff can also search manually by name or ticket code if scanning fails.
